In The News: Resource Fair
The Warren County Criminal Justice Board will be hosting a community Resource Fair on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Resource Fair will be held at the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Warren C. Young Center at 801 Drake Road in Lebanon.
The Resource Fair is free and open to the public, and is being held to help those in crisis. More than 30 local organizations are scheduled to participate to promote their programs and services. Attendees will be able to learn about the many local service providers who help those in need of such services as drug addiction, alcoholism, gambling, divorce, child custody issues, abuse, mental health, developmental disabilities, bankruptcy, parenting, and more.
“Although the economy is rebounding, there are still many people in Warren County who are going through personal or family crisis. We decided to hold this event to help people become aware of the many resources that are available to them in the community. By attending this Resource Fair, they may learn of an organization they may not have otherwise heard about,” said Megan Davenport, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Warren County Child Support Enforcement Agency.
There will be door prizes, light refreshments and entertainment at the Resource Fair, including a performance by the Voices of Warren County at 6:00 p.m. The Voices of Warren County is an all-volunteer choir group of adults with disabilities who are receiving services and supports from the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities. They perform, for free, at area events and festivals.
The Warren County Criminal Justice Board is comprised of more than 20 community organizations. Their mission is to plan, develop, and implement a collaborative system that engages all criminal justice partners in Warren County.
