In Our Own Voice

May 7, 2019
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

What’s it like to live with and recover from a mental illness? Several individuals in recovery will help to shed light on that and more when they present “In Our Own Voice” in May. The presentations are scheduled to take place in Wilmington, Mason and Springboro to mark Mental Health Month.

“In Our Own Voice” is an educational presentation to talk about mental illness through the lived experience of the presenters. They will share their own stories about living with mental illness and the journey of recovery, and how it’s possible to live a normal life even with a mental health condition.

Presentations are set for May 7th at The Murphy Theater in Wilmington, as well as Sinclair Community College – Courseview Campus in Mason on May 14th, and on May 16th at the Springboro Public Library. All presentations will run from 6 – 7 PM, with time for questions and answers. Provider agencies will also be on hand to answer questions about how to access treatment services.
