Youth Mental Health First Aid

Apr 16, 2019
8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Just as CPR helps even those without medical training assist an individual having a heart attack, Youth Mental Health First Aid prepares participants to interact with a young person experiencing a mental health crisis.  Youth Mental Health First Aiders learn a five-step action plan that guides them through the process of reaching out and offering appropriate support. YMHFA training is designed for adults who regularly interact with young people ages 12-18; including teachers, parents, coaches, clergy, school bus drivers, paraprofessionals, juvenile and human services workers, etc.
